ENERGY SAVING, AIR QUALITY AND MICROCLIMATE CONSERVATION
These are the main advantages that identify the AIR CURTAINS. But what are they and how do they work?
Air curtains are devices consisting of high-performance electric fans, aesthetically very similar to air conditioners, which generate an air flow, also called air blade. This air curtain is able to clearly separate two environments with different temperatures (for example think of shops during summer, where there is air conditioning inside). The air curtain acts as an invisible door and has the function of preserving the internal temperature of a room, making users who pass the door perceive the thermal shock as little as possible.
For many it may seem like a waste to leave the door of a commercial activity open, but paradoxically thanks to these air curtains the draughts caused by the continuous opening of the door are reduced: this means that the air conditioning/heating system is not forced to overwork to fill the gap created at each opening.
The dispersion of heat or cool air is thus eliminated, guaranteeing high energy savings and a reduction in bill costs. Another important advantage that should not be underestimated is related to the quality of the air inside the room: the barriers in fact reduce/block the entry of dust, smog and bugs from outside.
To obtain all these benefits, it is important to be able to choose the most suitable barrier. There are several factors to take into consideration, including the height above the floor, the width and type of door and the cubic meters of the room. Finally, to ensure its correct functioning, it is necessary to frequently clean the wings and the filters.
You can find our complete range of air curtains in the air conditioning section dedicated to ventilation and air treatment systems.
