Problems with acid condensate discharge? Discover the Flowatch® Vision DUO pump

According to the UNI 7129/2015 standard, all condensing boilers must be connected to a drain for the expulsion of residual acid condensates, which are secondary products of the combustion process. Carbon dioxide, an acidic substance derived from the fuel, combines with water, lowering the pH to a value of 4/3.5. Given the high acidity, it is necessary that these secondary products are appropriately “disposed of” in the sewage system through ducts made of suitable and resistant materials, according to the indications in Part 5 of the previously mentioned standard.
Acid condensate can be disposed of directly both in domestic waste water (for example, by connecting the drain to a siphon such as that of the kitchen sink) and in white water, such as a downpipe that collects rainwater. In both cases, the water reaching the sewage system must have a pH between 5.5 and 9.5; therefore, it is necessary to install a neutralizing cartridge at the boiler outlet (see also SKU 70894 and SKU 70895).

If it is not possible to discharge the acid condensate directly into the sewer system, as in the cases mentioned above, it is necessary to equip the condensing boiler with an additional discharge system, as a pump to direct condensate through the system for disposal.

Several models are available on the market, but today we want to propose the innovative FLOWATCH^® Vision DUO Pump (SKU 11948), the first pump for discharging acid condensates that can be installed in 4 different positions. The pump consists of 2 elements: the reversible monoblock for vertical and/or horizontal mounting and the removable lid without screws.
The wall-mounted monoblock piston pump is designed for condensing gas boilers up to 60 kW and has a max flow rate of 19 l/h. Thanks to its compact dimensions (23×6.15×5.5 cm), essential design, and silent operation (<20 dBA at 1 m), it can be installed in any environment. Access to internal elements for routine maintenance is very simple. Furthermore, the tank with a removable filter prevents residual particles or dust from damaging the pump over time.
