According to UNI 7129/2015 rule, all condensig boilers must be connected to a drain system to discharge the residual acid condensations, by-product of comustion process. The carbon dioxide, a substance of an acidic nature derived from the fuel, is added to water, lowering the pH to a value of 4/3.5. Given the high acidity, it is necessary that these secondary products are appropriately “disposed of” in the sewerage system through ducts made of suitable and resistant materials, as indicated in Part 5 of the above mentioned standard.
The acid condensate can be disposed of directly both in domestic waste water (for example, by connecting the drain to a siphon such as that of the kitchen sink), and in white water, then in a rainfall that collects rainwater. In both cases, the water that arrives in the sewer must have a pH between 5.5 and 9.5, then at the exit of the boiler is necessary to install a neutralizing cartridge (see also SKU 70894 and SKU 70895).

If it is not possible to discharge the acid condensate directly into the sewer system, as in the cases mentioned above, it is necessary to equip the condensing boiler with an additional discharge system, as a pump to direct condensate through the system for disposal.

Several models are available on the market, but today we want to propose the innovative FLOWATCH® pump Vision DUO (SKU 11948), the first pump for the discharge of acid condensate that can be installed in 4 different positions. The pump consists of 2 elements: the reversible monoblock for vertical and/or horizontal mounting and the removable lid without screws.
The wall-mounted piston pump is designed for condensing gas boilers up to 60 kW and has a maximum flow rate of 19 l/h. Thank to its small dimensions (23×6,15×5,5 cm), its essentioal design and its noiselessness (<20 dBA at 1 m), it can be installed in every room. The access to internal elements for ordinary maintenance is very simple. In addition, the tank with removable filter prevents residual particles or dust from deteriorating the pump in a short time.
